The Lakeville Volunteer Exempt Firemen's Benevolent Association, Inc, more commonly known as the Exempt Club, is a not-for-profit corporation composed of more than 200 current and former firefighters from Lakeville and other fire districts.
The Exempt Club was formally created by an act of the New York Legislature in 1977 to provide for the "promotion of friendly association for the betterment of the community," and to provide assistance to members and their families who may be injured or disabled in the performance of their duties.
